The Denver Broncos have been without one of their top receivers in Jerry Jeudy for the last few weeks due to an ankle injury. Fortunately, the team received good news on that front Friday afternoon. It looks like Jeudy is targeting a return date around Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
Jerry Jeudy Injury Update
Reports claim Jeudy has been progressing well since he was carted off the field with a high ankle sprain back in Week 1. His participation in practice has been ramping up a bit and there is optimism in the locker room that he will rejoin the team on the shorter end of his 6-8 week recovery timeline.
Getting Jeudy back on the field would be huge for the Broncos. The second-year pro has proven he can play outside and in the slot position. Jeudy racked up 72 yards on 6 catches (7 targets) in Week 1, replicating the success he had during his rookie season last year (52 receptions for 856 yards).
All things considered, this is just about the best news Denver could be hoping for given Jeudy hasn't seemed to suffer any kind of setbacks. Everything is trending in the right direction for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to get back one of his top targets in a few weeks.
For now, the Broncos will look to get back in the win column when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 NFL action. Denver is slated as a 1.5-point underdog in that game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
