Braves Leave Surprising Player Out Of Game 2 Lineup
Offense was difficult to come by in Game 1 of the 2021 National League Division Series. The Atlanta Braves managed just one run against the Milwaukee Brewers after a brilliant start from Corbin Burnes.
In a rather surprising move, Braves manager Brian Snitker is opting to roll out the same lineup, which leaves their lone source of Game 1 offense on the bench.
Outfielder Joc Pederson, who clobbered a solo home run in Game 1 and brought Atlanta within one-run late, will once again remain on the bench to start Game 2.
The official Game 2 lineup will be as follows.
On one hand, it's hard to argue against Snitker's decision. This is the normal, everyday lineup in Atlanta and a lineup that scored the seventh-most runs per game (4.91) in baseball. However, Pederson clearly provided a jolt to Atlanta's lineup and owns a long history of playoff experience.
Heading into Game 2, the Braves sit as +102 moneyline underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook.
