The end of the 2021 NFL season didn't go the way that the Buffalo Bills had anticipated. After making it to last year's AFC Championship Game, the same — if not better — success was expected this season.

Unfortunately, the Bills met their fate in the Divisional Round when they suffered a heart-breaking 42-36 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen and the offense didn't even get to take the field in overtime, which left a sour feeling in many fans' mouths.

The Bills acknowledged this season's heartbreak on Friday when the organization's social media team posted a tribute video to Twitter. With the caption "This one stings. We're right there with you, #BillsMafia," it's clear that the team knows how their fanbase feels.

You can check out the tribute video below:

The video includes soundbites from the players and coaching staff about how disappointed they are with the outcome of the season. Whether you're a Bills fan or not, it's hard not to empathize with what they're going through.

"Those guys are hurt. We're all disappointed. We're all hurt, sick to our stomach. You move on and try to get yourself to learn from it. It stings, I'm not going to sugar-coat it.

Sean McDermott

The Bills also make it a point to thank 'Bills Mafia' for coming out and supporting the team even in the cold weather. Buffalo plans to learn from the experience and come back stronger than ever next season.

Considering how the Bills were one touchdown away from their second straight AFC Championship Game, you can count on Buffalo to be one of the league's best again during the 2022 NFL season.
