Week 9 of the 2022 NCAA college football season includes an SEC showdown between the Arkansas Razorbacks and Auburn Tigers. Arkansas is feeling some momentum now after snapping a three-game losing streak with a 52-35 victory against BYU two weeks ago.

Auburn enters this matchup after winning eight of its last nine games against Arkansas, including the last six in a row. Having said that, the Tigers aren't as dominant as in prior years and have struggled to generate offense, being held to 17 or fewer points in four of their last five games — including each of the last three at home.

While the Razorbacks haven't been perfect, they do put up 31.8 points per game, which is good enough for a top-40 clip. I just don't think that the Tigers can keep up with that rate. Yes, they scored 34 against Ole Miss, but that was only the first time since Sept. 10 that they surpassed the 20-point mark.

I fully expect Arkansas' offense to give the team a decently sized lead early on. From there, the Razorbacks' solid backfield can run out the clock. Considering how Auburn's run defense ranks No. 127 in the nation while Arkansas has the fifth-best rushing attack, the Razorbacks have all the tools to come out on top.
