Smith vs Walker Prediction

In a fight that oddsmakers see going either way, Johnny Walker brings a decent amount of momentum to the table. The 31-year-old Brazilian has won back-to-back contests against Ion Cutelaba and Paul Craig, winning by submission and TKO, respectively, in the opening round.

Meanwhile, Anthony Smith has his eyes on a bounce-back performance after getting knocked out by Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 277. Nevertheless, Smith had finished three consecutive opponents before that loss, which isn't all that embarrassing considering that has only been defeated once in 20 fights.

I wouldn't be shocked if either man wins, but I'm siding with Walker for my prediction. Not only does he have more momentum, but he's more accurate with his strikes (60%) than Smith (47%) while absorbing fewer significant blows per minute (2.60 vs. 4.37). Walker is also the superior grappler, highlighted by his 100% takedown accuracy.

With how quickly Walker has finished off his last two opponents, I can see him landing some key blows early on, leading to his third straight victory.

Winner: Johnny Walker

Smith vs Walker Best Bet

I won't be surprised if Smith is knocked out for the second consecutive outing. Walker has 16 KO/TKO victories in 27 career fights, picking up five of his last six victories by knockout. Meanwhile, Smith has been KO'd 10 times over his career and might not have the defense to withstand his opponent's barrage.

At +170 odds, I like the value that comes with a Walker KO/TKO victory.

Bet: Johnny Walker to Win by KO/TKO (+170)
