Offseason news around Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery remains overwhelmingly negative. The veteran wideout, who suffered a Lisfranc injury last season, is now considered "almost certain" to start the season on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list, according to Eagles insider Jimmy Kempski.

That's bad news for Jeffery's season, but it opens the door for rookie first-round pick Jalen Reagor to see some increased playing time. That has the potential to mean big things for bettors.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the over/under prop bet for Reagor's receiving yards in the 2020 regular season is set at 700.5 yards.

This mark is unchanged from the line that was available for Reagor's receiving total back on April 26, seemingly not accounting for the increased certainty that Jeffery isn't available to start the year.

There has been some talk that Reagor's role would involve serving as a backup to DeSean Jackson early in the season, but the Eagles simply aren't deep enough at wide receiver to keep him off the field for long while Jeffery is on the shelf.

With this news giving Reagor room for an expanded role early in the season, we could see bettors flocking to the "over" on that receiving yard prop.
