AL Rookie of the Year Odds: Jeremy Peña Overtakes Race on FanDuel Sportsbook

Updated:

The 2022 MLB season has brought a ton of exciting action to baseball fans, especially when it concerns this year's crop of American League Rookies.

The AL Rookie of the Year race has been as tight as ever, proven by a three-way tie for tops odds on FanDuel Sportsbook just last week. However, the tie has since been broken with one player emerging as the sole favorite.

FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña to be named 2022 AL Rookie of the Year at +250 odds. That's a noticeable increase from the +500 he was listed at just last week.

Peña leads all Major-league rookies with seven home runs and 21 RBIs to begin the 2022 campaign. He's also batting .276, which only trails Jose Altuve (.286) and Michael Brantley (.285) on the Astros' roster.

Although he's no longer tied in the odds race, Seattle Mariners centerfielder Julio Rodríguez sits second at +330. He's looked solid with three HRs and 14 RBIs in 38 games, also leading the MLB with a whopping 11 stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has fallen from +500 to +600, putting him in a tie for the third-best odds with Minnesota Twins right-handed pitcher Joe Ryan.

Here's a look at how the rest of the 2022 AL Rookie of the Year odds are shaping up.
