The Philadelphia 76ers are battling for a top-three seed in the East right now, but they've been doing so without their star center, Joel Embiid.
Coming off a tight home loss to the Warriors, the 76ers hope to get back on track tonight when they host a surprising Magic squad that's currently the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. But while Philly is a 3.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, it will play its sixth straight game without Embiid.
This season, the 76ers haven't been great straight up or against the spread without him.

76ers' Joel Embiid is listed as OUT for tonight's game at home vs. Magic.
Sixers are 3-5 straight up & 2-6 against the spread without him this season. Over/Under: 4-4
Pointspread: Sixers -4.5

The 76ers are without Joel Embiid, Boban, and could possibly be without Bolden/Johnson at center. Vucevic has also had a great history against philly this season, scoring 28.5 PPG in two previous games against them.— Ththaman Pregame (@ThthamanPregame) March 5, 2019
As mentioned, the 76ers are 3.5-point favorites against the Magic tonight on FanDuel Sportsbook. The Magic beat the 76ers, 111-106, in Orlando the last time they played this year and the 76ers beat the Magic, 116-115, at home in October.
While a championship-caliber team at home against a sub-.500 squad seems like an easy bet, the 76ers' history without their big man suggests otherwise.
