The curiosity surrounding Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon's absence and knee injury Thursday only deepened this afternoon.

Mixon was mysteriously absent from yesterday's early practice, only to later be added to the team's injury report as limited with a knee injury. The running back has made a surprisingly quick turnaround, in less than 24 hours, returning to practice in full Friday.

He may look good to go for this Sunday's Week 11 battle with the Baltimore Ravens, but it'd be wise not to forget how good that Baltimore defense is and how unlikely a full return to health is following a late addition to the injury report. Giovani Bernard is still a smart handcuff add for Mixon's fantasy owners.

With Bengals star wide receiver A.J. Green's status still up in the air for Sunday, Mixon is positioned for another solid fantasy week as a volume-based RB2, just as long as he doesn't pop back up on the injury report leading up the game.
