The Boston Red Sox did not put up the kind of showing they hoped or anticipated in Game 1 of the ALCS and things might not be looking any better after Game 2 Sunday night.

The same Red Sox that led the MLB in regular-season wins this year haven't looked like their dominant selves heading into the end of the season and so far in the playoffs. That trend continued against the Astros in Game 1.

Despite their record, many, including bookmakers consider the Astros as favorites (+135) to repeat as World Series Champions. It sure looked like they were on their way after going into Fenway Park and coming out with a dominating 7-2 win.

The Astros are throwing Garret Cole against Red Sox southpaw David Price in Game 2 for the first-ever postseason matchup between two former No. 1 overall draft picks. Price was atrocious in his one start this postseason, lasting only 1.2 innings against the Yankees in a start at home.

Price has surely had his ups and downs as a member of the Red Sox, but Sunday night will be the most important start of his tenure. If Price cannot get a win at home against this hot Astros lineup then this Red Sox team could be facing the unthinkable: a sweep.

Houston is nearly unbeatable at home and the Astros are playing better than any team left in the postseason right now. The Boston Red Sox season is hanging in the balance tonight and the man in control might be the last they'd like to be.

Given how Price has pitched and how great the Astros have looked, it might be wise to start considering that Astros 4-0 series finish at +420.
