Adrian Peterson has been a revelation so far in 2018. After a 2017 season where he looked worn down for the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals, most of us thought we had seen the last of the future Hall-of-Fame running back. Even when he was signed by the Washington Redskins it was just seen as a depth move for the team after losing Derrius Guice.

Peterson has proven everyone wrong so far this season, rushing for 236 yards and three touchdowns in three games. However, in his last game against the Green Bay Packers, Peterson injured his ankle. While Washington had a bye in Week 4, it looks like Peterson isn't completely back just yet.

Washington doesn't play again until Monday night against New Orleans so this shouldn't be too concerning for Peterson, just another routine day of rest. He's at the point in his career where they can't be too careful with an injury. When you have Peterson in a boot like he was last week, there's no reason to rush him back. He'll probably take at least another day off before going through some walkthroughs later in the week.

Fantasy wise, Peterson's stock is still as an RB2. If he can come out healthy and produce against New Orleans, then he can be considered officially back.
