The unrest in Minnesota apparently goes way beyond Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns. There have been rumblings of owner Glen Taylor's disapproval of head coach Tom Thibodeau, but nothing concretely public until now.

That's about as bold of a move as you can make as an owner. That's Taylor publicly stating that he will openly overrule his team's head coach and general manager that he hired to do their jobs. It has been reported that Thibodeau has no intention of trading the disgruntled Butler, despite Butler's requests.

The team's owner, Taylor has made it clear that he doesn't have time for Thibodeau's antics and is prepared to cut him out of the picture to get a Butler deal done.

Regardless if that actually occurs, it's a really bad sign for the long-term future of Thibodeau as the head coach in Minnesota. In fact, after this report, you should be surprised if he makes it through the season before getting the boot.

Man, is there anything more drama-filled than the NBA offseason?
