Week 3 is another opportunity for waiver-wire warriors to get back on the horse. This week provides us with a pair of tight ends worth picking up, and they’ll actually be squaring off against one another this week on “Monday Night Football.”

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Jesse James had a huge Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs, hauling in all five of his targets for 138 yards and one touchdown – he now has eight catches on 10 targets for 198 yards and the lone touchdown this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard was equally as impressive in his Week 2 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Howard hauled in three catches on four targets for 96 yards and a touchdown, headlined by this gorgeous 75-yard catch-and-run to the end zone.

Howard was praised by numerous teammates following Sunday's win, essentially saying he's a wide receiver trapped in a tight end's body. He's also playing a lot more snaps this season compared to last. In the Bucs' first two games, Howard has out-snapped fellow tight end and veteran Cameron Brate 79-to-24 percent in Week 2 and 65-to-35 percent in Week 1.

All in all, we're trying to decide between two tight ends that are engulfed by uber-talented wide receiving corps on their teams. I'll go with the more-talented Howard, but James is certainly not someone to sleep on either.
