After a breakout sophomore campaign in 2017, New York Jets WR Robbie Anderson looked like the best Jets wide receiver to own in fantasy. However, if early returns are any indication, it looks like Quincy Enunwa is actually the right New York pass catcher to own.

The signs were pretty obvious against the Detroit Lions last week. Enunwa, who missed the 2017 season with a neck injury, led all Jets receivers with 10 targets. To some, that kind of volume could have easily been considered a flash in the pan. Yet, thanks to rookie QB Sam Darnold, fantasy pundits are beginning to think otherwise.

New York's rookie signal-caller said that Enunwa was, to paraphrase, a lot of fun to throw to.

Clearly, Darnold has a good amount of trust in Enunwa and he proved that against the Dolphins. Darnold, making 7 receptions for 92 yards.

Overall, Enunwa has seen 21 targets through two games this season. Anderson, on the other hand, has seen just six. Unless Anderson builds more chemistry with his rookie quarterback, it's likely that he'll have a reduced role in this situation.

The numbers have made it obvious at this point, but as long as Darnold continues to lean on Enunwa, he's definitely the right Jets receiver to own. Meanwhile, Anderson may become nothing more than a touchdown-dependent flex play as the season goes along.
