Just when you thought the New England Patriots backfield situation couldn't get any muddier this season, the news broke: running back Jeremy Hill has suffered a torn ACL and has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

His first year in New England comes to a screeching halt with just four carries for 25 yards.

James White is now the only active player on the Patriots' depth chart that hasn't suffered some sort of injury this season, which should have fantasy owners taking notice.

With Hill gone and rookie Sony Michel still questionable, look for White and Rex Burkhead to gobble up touches and scoring opportunities due to a lack of other options. The Patriots will likely sign a replacement in the near future, but until then, it might be best to scour the waiver wire.
