The season hasn't even started and the Jacksonville Jaguars are already in a big hole at wide receiver.

Things didn't look good during their last preseason matchup as top wideout Marqise Lee was carted off the field in tears. The team was hoping for good news but certainly didn't get any with this update.

Lee is officially out for the year, opening up the door for other Jaguars to step up.

Looking past the potential boost of production from players like Keenan Cole, Dede Westbrook, and Donte Moncrief, this is a huge issue for the Jaguars.

Lee's not viewed as a top wideout in the league, but he was exactly that for Jacksonville last season. He finished last season with 56 catches for 702 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games and quickly emerged as the top option for QB Blake Bortles in an improved passing attack.

Lee leaves behind big shoes to fill, but that still doesn't mean the Jaguars are looking for outside help to fill them.

For those who are looking for potential breakout candidates, Cole and Westbrook immediately jump to mind. They flashed ability during short spurts last season, and they now have a larger opportunity on their hands as Lee's 96 targets need to be distributed elsewhere.

It's definitely a shame for Jacksonville and fantasy owners alike.
