3 Players the Cardinals Could Move if They Become Sellers at the Trade Deadline
By Zach Brunner

As the July 31 MLB Trade Deadline approaches, the teams who are looking to be buyers and sellers are becoming more clear. The St. Louis Cardinals, however, are in a more difficult spot. Sitting at third in the NL Central with a 44-44 record, they may look to sell.
With that in mind, here are three players that could be on the move before the month is over.
1. Marcell Ozuna, LF
Ozuna is the most likely trade candidate if the Cardinals decide to be sellers. The 28-year-old has played well for St. Louis this season, totaling 20 home runs, 62 RBI, 52 runs and eight stolen bases, while batting .259. Playing on an expiring contract, a contender may show the Cardinals a lot of interest for Ozuna.
2. Michael Wacha, SP
With a 5-4 record and 5.54 ERA, Wacha has been less than impressive for St. Louis this season. He has also given up 18 home runs already, which is just one shy of his most in a season. However, Wacha is still a capable pitcher that would receive interest at the deadline. He is also playing on an expiring contract, making him a target for a contender.
3. Jedd Gyorko, 3B
Gyorko has played in just 38 games and is putting up some of the worst numbers of his career. He has just two home runs and seven RBI, over 56 at-bats. However, Gyorko has a team-friendly contract that could garner interest. He has a team option next season worth $13 million.
