Welcome to the $200,000 NHL Power Play contest (“Tournament”) hosted by Here are the detailed rules for the tournament.

Tournament Structure

The Tournament is a FanDuel fantasy hockey tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000 and maximum field size of 667 entries. The contest will run on March 27, 2018 at 7pm ET.

To gain entry to the Tournament, a FanDuel user must win a seat through a satellite contest (“Satellite”) OR pay the entry fee directly when that option becomes available. Satellites are available multiple times per week from Monday, February 12, 2018 till Monday, March 26, 20108, and will be posted at FanDuel’s discretion. The winner of each Satellite will win an entry into the Tournament. Some Satellites may, as determined by FanDuel in its sole discretion, award multiple entries into the Tournament. If you win an entry into the Tournament, you will see your entry at least 24 hours prior to the Tournament under your Upcoming contests tab.

Direct buy in: The entry fee for the Tournament is $333.This option will become available on March 27, 2018 and will be available until the contest lock time or until the event reaches a maximum number of entrants.

Each FanDuel user is limited to a maximum of 20 entries into the Tournament. Any instance of registering multiple accounts on FanDuel in order to gain more than 20 entries into the Tournament will result in automatic disqualification from the Tournament as well as potential suspension from FanDuel.

Teams and scoring

Standard FanDuel NHL scoring rules apply to all the Tournament and all Satellites (available here: ). In the event of a tie for any position other than first place in a Satellite, the tied participants will split the prize or prizes that they tied for. In the event of a tie for first place in a Satellite, no seat for the Tournament will be awarded. Instead, the tied participants will split the cash value of finishing in the tied positions.


All US and Canadian residents who comply with our eligibility rules for paid entry games in our Terms of Use are eligible to win a prize as part of this Tournament. Users physically located in Alabama, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, Texas and Washington are not eligible to participate in this Tournament. FanDuel employees may enter the competition for testing purposes but are not eligible to win any prizes. Employees and operators of other daily fantasy sports sites are not eligible for this Tournament.

All US resident prize winners will be required to provide address and social security details prior to receiving their prize if their prize exceeds $600 in value. Winners are responsible for paying all taxes, fees, registration and insurance, for any prizes won in connection with this contest, including non-cash prizes.

Additional Terms and Conditions

The decisions made by FanDuel management regarding, but not limited to, eligibility, winners, scoring, rules, prizes and compliance is in accordance with FanDuel’s Terms of Use. No correspondence will be entered into. FanDuel reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these terms, (a) to ensure the fairness of competition, and (b) in response to unanticipated developments (such as technical failures, errors, acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, changes in applicable law, interruption in the NHL season, failure of stats provider, and failure to obtain a minimum number of entrants).

Affidavit of Eligibility

FanDuel may require prize winners to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility to confirm their identity and eligibility for the Promotion.

In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Promotion, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I agree as follows:

  • I represent that I am over 18 years of age. I agree hereby to provide government-issued photo identification to FanDuel to verify my identity and date of birth.
  • I represent that I am not an employee or operator of another daily fantasy site that charges entrance fees or offers cash prizes. Further, I represent that I do not, by virtue of affiliation with another daily fantasy site, have access to the site’s pre-release non-public confidential data about contest-related information.
  • I reaffirm my agreement to:
