105-year-old Agnes McKee threw out the first pitch before the Padres played the Mets, making her the oldest person ever to perform this feat. Holding on to her walker for support, Agnes went into her wind up and lobbed one over to catcher René Rivera. McKee should be proud, as she clearly out-pitched 50 Cent, who threw what is now widely considered the worst first pitch of all-time.
After Agnes toed the rubber, Padres standout Odrisamer Despaigne followed her lead, holding on to a no-hit bid against the Mets for seven and two thirds before eventually taking a no decision.
McKee may have served as a good luck charm as well, as the Padres eventually won the game 2-1.
