FanDuel NBA Plays for Super Wednesday, February 26th
Welcome to Wednesday Night in the NBA! We have a full slate of NBA games tonight and a whole bunch of cash to give away, including the NBA Super Slam. Below I’ve given you some of my favorite plays at varying price ranges. And as a side note, remember that the NBA is volatile as far as injuries and stomach flus and what not, so always be sure to keep up with the latest news so you don’t get stuck with a dud. I prefer to use Twitter for my up to the second information. Here’s a very short list of fantasy basketball people I follow who update that kind of information.
Chris Paul $8,900 HOU@LAC – Paul’s price tag hasn’t risen much, but his play has. He looks back to early season form and is averaging 43 FDP over the last two weeks. The Rockets have allowed 47 FDP to point guards over their last five games and with a crazy over/under of 221 points Paul is almost a must start.
Mike Conley $7,400 LAL@MEM — Before Conley went down with his injury he was on fire. He’s put up okay numbers in his first three games back, but now gets a top matchup against the Lakers and should be primed for a big game.
Jeff Teague $5,800 ATL@BOS – With Paul Millsap out Teague has taken on more of a scoring role. Against a good Bulls defense last night he put up 26 points and 7 boards. Boston’s defense on point guards is nothing to scoff at, but Teague’s price and increased usage should offset the downside.
Victor Oladipo $6,800 ORL@PHI — As long as Oladipo’s minutes are up, so are his fantasy points. It looks like he should once again get his 35+ minutes and of course playing the Sixers is always preferable, especially in a game where the Magic are only favored by 3.5 points, a rarity against the Sixers of late. As long as this game stays close there will be plenty of fantasy points to go around and Oladipo has tremendous upside.
Kent Bazemore $3,600 LAL@MEM — I sure can’t say I would have been recommending Bazemore against Memphis a few days ago, but here we are. His talent has been lauded, but his playing time of zero minutes was not helpful. Now with the injury depleted Lakers he’s found that playing time and has proven his worth already. The Pacers are the best defense in the league and he just put up 23 points, 4 boards, 3 assists and 3 steals in 39 minutes against them. At $3,600 we’re happy with 20 FDP.
Andrei Kirilenko $3,900 BKN@POR – As long as Kirilenko is healthy and getting minutes, he is always worth looking at because he fills out a stat sheet like nobody’s business. He’s hit 30+ minutes in his last two and with Aldridge out this game should be closer than it should and Portland’s up-tempo style should give AK-47 plenty of opportunities for stat filler.
Maurice Harkless $3,700 ORL@PHI – With Arron Afflalo out Harkless has seen a nice raise in playing time. He’s always a risky play, but this game against the Sixers is perfect for his price and playing time.
Anthony Davis $9,800 NO@DAL — Davis looks to be back on track with a 43 FDP average over his last four games and now he gets a nice matchup against the Maveicks who he has played well against in two games this year, averaging 25 points and 15 rebounds.
Thaddeus Young $7,800 ORL@PHI — Young is getting a ton of usage now and it’s transforming into huge fantasy points. He’s hit 63.6 and 54.5 FDP in his last two and gets a great matchup against the Magic in what should be a somewhat close game. At his price and upside I don’t know how you can’t play him at this point.
Tobias Harris $6,700 ORL@PHI — Harris hit a bit of a speed bump against the Wizards last night, but had hit 35+ FDP in the three previous games. And I do not mind strip-mining this game for fantasy purposes one bit.
Nikola Vucevic $7,000 ORL@PHI – If an Orlando player is starting, there is a good chance he’s worth inserting into a lineup tonight. Vucevic is as solid as it gets from a consistency standpoint, so when he gets these nice matchups it increases his ceiling, but his floor remains extremely high.
Marc Gasol $6,900 LAL@MEM – Gasol has been off and on since returning from injury, but has shown glimpses of putting together big games against the Clippers and Charlotte his last two outings. And of course he gets the Lakers at home in a patsy matchup tonight. His price is low enough to take the gamble.
