Muntradamus has his First Seat…Likely Not His Last

May 14 7:00pm

Meet Muntradamus. A longtime fantasy baseball player, he’s been at it since he was a little kid, beating the high rollers in season long leagues. He’s moved on from season long now, and he’s hungry for that top prize in the $1,000,000 DFBC. He’s not going to stop until he wins a second seat…and we believe him. You will too.

How long have you been playing on FanDuel ?

I started playing on FanDuel about a year ago to this day. FantasyPros was running a free tournament that I was invited to.  It was a 2,600 person freeroll, in which I came in second place and won $100. Haven’t stopped playing since.

What is your approach to picking your team? Why did you go with the roster you had the night of the qualifier? Who was your most impactful player?

I take a don’t ask, don’t tell approach. The most impactful player on my roster could go to Mark Ellis, who had 2 HRs, but Mark alone was not the difference maker as a good amount of people had him.  Juan Francisco was clutch in grabbing double-digit points, which was enough to get my MVP award for a big RBI double, and he had a run scored in his last at-bat in a blowout situation.  That proved to be the difference as I won by only one Point.

How did you react when you realized you had won a seat to Las Vegas? Describe the night you won.

It was a personal night with a lot of emotions, as are the eight other qualifiers so far this season where I have had multiple entries finish in the Top 10. I’m still looking for that second seat.

How long have you been playing fantasy baseball?

Since I was eleven years old.  My dad put me in a high-roller seasonal fantasy league against a group of Beverly Hills lawyers.  Of course we were back-to-back-to-back champs to start my career off.

How do you like daily fantasy vs regular fantasy?

Daily is the way of the future.  Unless it is Fantasy Football, seasonal Fantasy Leagues come with too much risk for how long the season is.

Injuries, busts, and too many other factors can end your season before it even starts, especially in a six-plus month season like fantasy baseball.  Daily brings the “One Day all or nothing” fantasy football feeling to any sport.

What is your favorite thing about playing on

I love the excitement of the big tournaments.  You can turn $10 into over $1,000 every single night of the week. Doesn’t get much better than that.

What will you do with the $200,000 if you win the DFBC?

Continue to build my bankroll and Muntradamus.
