Notorious Joins the DFBBC Field

Feb 25 11:53am

The 2013 DFBBC just added another headliner to an already intensely competitive field. The player known on FanDuel as  Notorious, reeled in the final seat to the DFBBC with one of the  biggest NBA scores FanDuel has witnessed all season!  FanDuel Insider got the chance to speak with him about his daily fantasy experience, though we sadly weren’t able to get this cautious finalist to tell us his plans for the prize money.

How long have you been playing on FanDuel?

I think I’ve had an account on the site for about two years, but I’ve really started playing a lot more on FanDuel this NBA season.

Have you ever won anything like this playing fantasy sports?

I’ve definitely never won anything this big and I can’t wait for the final. I think the best thing that I have won playing fantasy sports was a free trip to Las Vegas last season, but that trip didn’t come with the chance at $50,000!

What is your approach to picking your team? Why did you go with the roster you had the night of the qualifier?

My approach was to cover all of my bases and hope for the best. I put in 25 teams that night (which was not the greatest thing in the world) that covered all of the players that I thought had good upside that night. Luckily, I had one team that had all of the right pieces.

How did you react when you realized you had won a seat to Las Vegas?

I really couldn’t believe it at first, I think I rechecked the scores every five minutes or so just to make sure there wasn’t a scoring error or something. Then once I realized it was final and I was going to Vegas I had no choice but to take a shot to celebrate.

How long have you been playing fantasy hoops?

I’ve always been a fantasy football guy ever since I was little, but didn’t really start playing fantasy basketball until a few years ago when I found daily fantasy sports, which has to be the greatest hobby/game in history.

How do you like daily fantasy vs regular fantasy?

To me, the traditional season long fantasy leagues don’t even compare to daily. Don’t get me wrong, I still play in season long leagues to talk crap and have bragging rights over my buddies, but I love being able to draft a new team every day.

What is your favorite thing about playing on

My favorite thing has to be the big championships that you guys run. For $10 you have the chance to win a trip to Vegas and possibly win $50,000. I also love the simplicity of the site and the gameplay. It’s easy to join leagues and even easier to put your lineup in.

What will you do with the $50,000 if you win the DFBBC?

I haven’t thought about it too much just because I don’t want to jinx anything. But I’m sure I would take a nice trip somewhere with the wifey.
