Friday Player Matchups: King Felix And The Peasants

May 06 2:19am

Straight up now tell me do you really want to lose at FanDuel forever or do you want to take my advice and then play the Friday Hit and Run!?

P Felix Hernandez: King Felix faces the White Sox who are just horrid at the moment. In his last 3 starts he has a 1.74 ERA with 22 Ks and could easily pitch the rare Platinum Perfect Game.

P Matt Garza: He has been pitching well of late and has had no trouble getting K’s. He faces the Reds which isn’t the best matchup, but he is only 6,400 and with his ability to get strikeouts right now, I like his chances.

P James Shields: Shields has been one of the hottest pitchers in the majors. He has won his last 2 of his last 3  starts with 2 complete games and one 8 inning loss in which he threw 12 Ks! His history in Camden Yards is 4-1 with an ERA approaching 4.00 and the current Orioles hitters have his number, batting over .300 against him.  He’s on a roll and the Orioles aren’t exactly destroying the ball right now.

C Geovany Soto: Soto has been heating up as of late with 7 RBIs in his last 20 at bats. His history with Edinson Volquez isn’t much; he has 3 at bats with 2 walks and a strike out.

1B Miguel Cabrera: He has hit Jesse Litsch very well, going 4 for 9 off him with dos donkaroos.

3B Michael Young: Ok, I’ve put him on here just about every day, but he still continues to play well, so I’ll keep it up! He is back in Texas and faces Super Nova who he is 2 for 3 against.

3B Alex Rodriguez: ARod is 4 for 9 off Matt Harrison with 5 RBIs. The Yankees in Texas seems like a nice one for FanDuel. I would mine it the best you can.

SS Jose Reyes: He is 5 for 12 off Hiroki Kuroda and is having a bounce back season.

LF Alfonso Soriano: He leads the league with 11 home runs.  He faces Volquez who he is 1 for 3 against. Ride the hot hand.

CF Carlos Beltran: It looks like he is back! Well, at least for a little bit. He is 1 for 3 off Kuroda with a 2 run homer and has hit 3 homers in his last 4 games, along with a 6 game hitting streak, with 3 multi-hit games in there.

RF Ben Zobrist: He has a 10 game hitting streak going and is 1 for 2 with a double off Zach Britton.

RF Nick Swisher: He is 4 for 10 against Harrison with 3 ribbies.

RF Hunter Pence: He is 12 for 37 off Paul Maholm with 2 homers.

RF Mike Stanton: Jordan Zimmerman has only given up 2 hits to Stanton, but both have been homers out of the 4 times they’ve met.
