Phillip Dorsett Status
rotoWire
Dorsett has agreed to sign with the Raiders, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
What it means:
In 15 games with the Texans in 2022, Dorsett recorded 20 catches for 257 yards and a touchdown on 40 targets. This coming season, the 30-year-old figures to handle a complementary role in a Raiders' wideout corps that is slated to be led by returnee Davante Adams and pending free agent addition Jakobi Meyers.
rotoWire
Dorsett (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts.
What it means:
Dorsett was unable to practice Friday after a limited session Thursday and was subsequently ruled out. He finishes the 2022 season with 20 catches for 257 yards and one touchdown on 40 targets.
rotoWire
The Texans listed Dorsett as a limited practice participant Thursday due to a hamstring issue.
What it means:
Dorsett wasn't included on the Texans' initial Week 18 practice report issued Wednesday, so his addition a day later might suggest that he suffered the injury at some point during Thursday's practice. The wideout will have another chance Friday to practice in some capacity before the Texans decide whether he carries an injury designation into Sunday's season finale in Indianapolis.
rotoWire
Dorsett caught three of a season-high six targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 31-3 loss to Jacksonville in Week 17.
What it means:
Dorsett, who played 39 snaps, has benefitted from Nico Collins' season-ending foot injury and racked up 16 targets over the last five weeks and averaged 44 snaps. His playing dipped the last two weeks with Brandin Cooks' return from a calf injury, but Dorsett remains a potential option.
rotoWire
Dorsett recorded three catches on three targets for 45 yards in Saturday's 19-14 win over the Titans.
What it means:
Dorsett finished with fewer targets than both Brandin Cooks and Chris Moore in targets, though he was the most efficient of the group with his opportunity. All three of his receptions came in the fourth quarter, highlighted by 20 and 18-yard gains. Despite an increased role in the absence of Nico Collins (foot), Dorsett managed to top 40 receiving yards for the first time since Week 9.
rotoWire
Dorsett did not catch his lone target in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to Kansas City in Week 15.
What it means:
With Houston's top two wide receivers unavailable due to injury for a second consecutive week, Dorsett once again was given ample playing time. And his production was meager. Dorsett has four catches on six targets for 36 yards over his last 154 snaps.
