Slye missed two of four field-goal attempts and one of three extra-point tries in Sunday's 26-6 win over the Cowboys.
What it means:
Slye converted field goals from 29 and 22 yards, but only after he missed from 31 and 52 yards, not to mention a failed PAT. In 17 games this season, Slye made just 25 of 30 field goals and 24 of 28 extra points, limiting himself to 99 total points, which ranked outside the top 25 in scoring for kickers. The 26-year-old remains under contact with Washington for next season.
Slye made one field goal and one PAT during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Browns.
What it means:
Slye was able to convert an extra-point attempt in the first half before later adding a 43-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. The kicker has had limited opportunities in recent weeks, going 3-for-3 on field goals over his last three games. After struggling to maintain a roster spot in 2021, Slye has earned a look moving forward after he's converted 23 out of 26 field-goal tries over 16 games with the Commanders this season.
Slye made both of his extra-point tries during Saturday's 37-20 loss against the 49ers.
What it means:
Slye didn't garner a field-goal attempt for the first time since Week 3 and was held to just two PATs, as Washington opted to go for two after its final touchdown in the fourth quarter. Coming into the contest, Slye had made 22 of 25 field goals and 16 of 18 extra-point tries over his last 11 appearances, so his lack of opportunities can likely be chalked up to a tough matchup against the surging 49ers. The veteran kicker will look to get back on track against the Browns in Week 17.
Slye converted on both of his two field-goal attempts but missed his lone point-after try in Sunday's game versus the Giants.
What it means:
Slye opened the scoring with a 47-yarder late in the first quarter and connected on a 51-yarder to cut Washington's deficit to five points in the fourth quarter, but he missed his only extra point attempt in the third quarter after it was lengthened by an offensive pass interference flag on a two-point try. Kickers are rarely automatic when temperatures are hovering around freezing as they were in Washington on Sunday night, so Slye's performance in Week 15 was solid given the context, just as he's been solid all year for the Commanders. However, Washington is averaging an anemic 18.9 points per game and will see a stout defense on the road in San Francisco in Week 16, so Slye doesn't project as a great fantasy option for Saturday.
Slye converted on two of his three field-goal attempts and was successful on both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 20-20 with the Giants.
What it means:
Slye opened the scoring with a 21-yard field goal in the first quarter, then he connected on a 42-yarder late in the second. His only miss on the day came early in the four quarter from 52 yards out, which was his first miss on a field-goal attempt from 50-plus yards on the season. After a Week 14 bye, Syle will be kicking against the Giants again in Week 15.
Slye made both field-goal attempts and one of two PAT tries in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Falcons.
What it means:
Slye missed a PAT in the third quarter, but he connected on all of his other kicks, including a 30-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 45-yarder in the fourth. The 26-year-old kicker has missed only twice on 20 field-goal attempts while converting 17 of 19 PAT attempts.
