J.D. McKissic Status

Washington's J.D. McKissic (neck) placed on injured reserve, out for remainder of 2022 season
What it means
Washington Commanders running back J.D. McKissic (neck) will miss the remainder of the 2022 season. McKissic will not return this season after a neck injury will require him to rehab for several months. Expect Antonio Gibson to see more touches going forward including in Week 11's game against the Houston Texans. Gibson's Week 11 projection includes 10.1 rushing attempts for 45.2 yards and 2.7 receptions for 18.9 yards.

Washington's J.D. McKissic (neck) remains out in Week 11
What it means
Washington Commanders running back J.D. McKissic (neck) will not play in Week 11's contest against the Houston Texans. McKissic will not be active for his third straight game with a neck injury. Expect Antonio Gibson to see more touches versus a Houston Texans' defense allowing 30.2 FanDuel points per game to running backs. Gibson's current projection includes 9.8 rushing attempts for 44.0 yards and 2.4 receptions for 17.5 yards.

J.D. McKissic (neck) remains out for Washington
What it means
Washington Commanders running back J.D. McKissic (neck) is not practicing again on Thursday. McKissic has been inactive at practice since injuring his neck in Week 8. If McKissic remains out for another game, Antonio Gibson will remain the Commanders' primary pass-catching back in Week 11 versus the Houston Texans. They are favored at home against one of the worst teams in the league, so Gibson may not have too many pass-catching opportunities. He was only targeted three times last week in a surprisingly positive game script. Gibson and Brian Robinson each scored on the ground in that contest while splitting snaps 48.1% to 51.9%, respectively. Gibson has totaled 5 catches on 6 targets for 25 yards the past two weeks with McKissic sidelined. He averaged 9.0 routes (28.1% participation) per game with 0.33 targets and 1.39 yards per route run.
