The Chargers signed Moore to the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
What it means:
Moore started the season on the Chargers' practice squad before being added to the active roster in late September. While he was added to help fill in for the team's depleted receiving corps, the 27-year-old ultimately logged just two targets across six appearances. Barring further injuries to the Bolts' wideouts, Moore will likely finish out the 2022 campaign on the practice squad.
The Chargers waived Moore on Saturday.
What it means:
Assuming he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period, Moore is set to become an unrestricted free agent and will have to look for another opportunity with a different team. He caught one of his two targets for five yards through six games in 2022.
Moore played 15 of the Chargers' 69 offensive snaps and didn't draw a target in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Browns.
What it means:
Since being signed to the 53-man roster Sept. 28, Moore has suited up for both of the Bolts' subsequent two games, but he has yet to record any statistics. Moore hasn't been targeted across his 18 total snaps on offense and will likely see his chances to contribute as a receiver take a further hit whenever Keenan Allen (hamstring) is cleared to play again.
The Chargers signed Moore off the practice squad Wednesday.
What it means:
Moore has been elevated from the Bolts' practice squad in every week to begin the 2022 campaign, and he recorded two catches for 64 yards over 16 offensive snaps played in last Sunday's loss to Jacksonville. The wideout has spent the entirety of his four-year career with the Chargers thus far, totaling 59 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 32 games over the past two seasons. Now, Moore appears set to remain on the team's active roster moving forward after wide receiver Jalen Guyton was placed on injured reserve with a season-ending torn ACL on Tuesday.
Moore reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
What it means:
Moore was active for Thursday's loss to Kansas City since Keenan Allen (hamstring) was sidelined. However, he didn't take the field and will now head back to the Chargers' practice squad.
Moore was elevated from the Chargers' practice squad ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Chiefs.
What it means:
The third-year wideout should help provide additional depth for the Chargers' receiving corps with No. 1 wideout Keenan Allen (hamstring) sidelined Thursday. Moore caught three of his four targets for 56 yards while playing two games between Weeks 14 and 16 with Los Angeles last season.
