Jalen Hurts Status

rotoWire
Hurts completed 27 of 38 passes for 304 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Chiefs. He added 15 rushes for 70 yards and three touchdowns.

What it means:

As was the case for much of the season, Hurts was dynamic as both a rusher and passer. He made a mistake early in the game on a fumble that was returned for a touchdown but otherwise moved the Eagles' offense all game. Hurts connected with A.J. Brown for a deep 45-yard pass early in the second quarter for his lone passing score of the game. He also punched in three rushing touchdowns from short range. Despite Philadelphia coming up just short of a Super Bowl victory, Hurts established himself as an elite quarterback in the league in 2022.
rotoWire
Hurts completed 15 of 25 passes for 121 yards and added 39 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in Sunday's 31-7 win over the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

What it means:

What seemed like it would be a fearsome battle turned into a rout after the Niners lost Brock Purdy to an elbow injury early in the game and was forced to turn to journeyman Josh Johnson (concussion) under center. As a result, the Eagles didn't really need to air it out at all, and all four of the team's TDs came on the ground. Hurts picked up one of them on a one-year run late in the third quarter, but otherwise didn't need to do too much. The low passing numbers could give rise to questions about the health of his elbow, but with two weeks to rest before the Super Bowl, Hurts should be 100 percent as Philly tries to win its second title in six years.
rotoWire
Hurts completed 16 of 24 passes for 154 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Eagles' 38-7 divisional-round win over the Giants on Saturday night. He also rushed nine times for 34 yards and another score and fumbled once but recovered.

What it means:

Hurts' final numbers weren't his most spectacular by any stretch, but the versatile signal-caller was certainly efficient while parlaying three of his 25 touches into scores. The third-year star's relatively modest numbers were a reflection of how especially effective the offense was in the first half, when Hurts connected with Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith for scoring tosses of 16 and nine yards, respectively. Hurts then added a five-yard scoring run just before the end of the first half to cap off a 14-play, 72-yard march, and Philadelphia was largely able to rely on its ground attack the rest of the way courtesy of its 28-0 halftime lead. Hurts will now set his sights on facing either the Cowboys or 49ers in an NFC Championship Game clash a week from Sunday.
rotoWire
Hurts (shoulder) hasn't been listed on Eagles injury reports in advance of Saturday's divisional-round game against the Giants, Sage Hurley of the team's official site reports.

What it means:

Hurts was sidelined Weeks 16 and 17 due to an SC joint sprain in his right throwing shoulder, but he returned to action for the regular-season finale Sunday, Jan. 8 versus the Giants. In the process of eking out a 22-16 victory, he completed 20 of 35 passes for 229 yards, no touchdowns and one interception while running nine times for 13 yards. With a first-round bye in his back pocket, Hurts has put the injury further in the rearview mirror and even noted Tuesday that he's "feeling good." While his health may not be at 100 percent, the third-year quarterback nonetheless is ready to direct Philadelphia's offense in its playoff opener.

Jalen Hurts (shoulder) not listed on Eagles' Tuesday injury report

What it means:

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. Hurts is on track to play in Saturday's Divisional round contest against the New York Giants after he logged a full practice on Tuesday. In a matchup versus a New York defense allowing 16.4 FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks during the regular season, our models project Hurts to score 24.4 FanDuel points. Hurts' current projection includes 21.5 completions for 1.8 touchdowns and 237.4 yards and 10.0 rushing attempts for 48.4 yards.
rotoWire
Hurts completed 20 of 35 passes for 229 yards and an interception and gained 13 rushing yards on nine carries in Sunday's 22-16 win over the Giants.

What it means:

Seeing his first action since Week 15 due to a shoulder injury, Hurts wasn't asked to do too much to help Philadelphia lock up the top seed in the NFC and a first-round bye. Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported after the game that Hurts' shoulder was still sore, so the extra week off will help the 24-year-old quarterback get closer to 100 percent healthy ahead of the divisional round.
