Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs 'expected' to get 'the majority of the work' in Week 3
What it means:
The NFL's Tom Pelissero reports that Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs' "is expected to get the majority of the work" for the team in their Week 3 game against the the Atlanta Falcons.
Gibbs could see the first lead back workload of his NFL career today against the Falcons with David Montgomery (thigh bruise) sidelined. The Lions have kept Gibbs to a limited workload in his first few NFL contests (though he has still seen 23 touches in 2 games) but we could see him break out against the Falcons today.
Gibbs has moved up to numberFire's RB3 for Week 3, trailing only Christian McCaffrey and Tony Pollard with his 17.2-fantasy-point projection. We have him slated for 69.6 rushing yards, 34.9 receiving yards, and 0.8 total touchdowns in this one.
