Godwin secured 10 of 13 targets for 85 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-14 wild-card loss to the Cowboys on Monday night.
What it means:
Godwin paced the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, a fitting encore to a regular season when he racked up a career-high 104 catches, along with 1,023 yards and three touchdowns, over 15 games. Godwin did average a career-low 9.8 yards per grab as well, however, and he was once again consistently used in a short-area role Monday night. The veteran wideout figures to once again be a key component of Tampa Bay's air attack in 2023, but the big question will naturally be who he'll be catching passes from considering Tom Brady isn't likely to be back.
Godwin brought in six of seven targets for 55 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-17 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
What it means:
Godwin paced the Buccaneers in receptions and receiving yards while checking in second in targets on a day when the starters only played for a portion of the first half. That allotment of playing time was enough for Godwin to post another solid performance, with Mike Evans' early exit due to an illness also helping the cause for more targets. Godwin will head into next weekend's wild-card home playoff matchup having posted at least six grabs in all but two of 14 regular-season contests.
Godwin secured all nine targets for 120 yards and recorded a two-point conversion catch in the Buccaneers' 30-24 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
What it means:
Were it not for the exploits of position mate Mike Evans, Godwin's performance would have been the talk of the afternoon for the Buccaneers. The trusted target checked in second across the stat sheet to Evans, and his two-point grab after Evans' third touchdown reception gave Tampa Bay a key three-point lead at the time. Godwin has at least eight catches in five of the last six games, while his yardage total was his highest of the season and leaves him just 32 yards short of the third 1,000-yard campaign of his career going into a Week 18 road matchup against the Falcons.
Godwin secured eight of 10 targets for 63 yards in the Buccaneers' 19-16 overtime win over the Cardinals on Sunday night.
What it means:
Godwin led the Buccaneers wideouts in receptions and checked in third overall in receiving yards while tying Leonard Fournette for the team lead in targets. The sixth-year wideout has now logged double-digit looks in the passing game in three of the past five contests and has at least eight receptions in four of those games, making him a highly valuable PPR asset going into a Week 17 divisional clash against the Panthers that could decide the NFC South crown.
Godwin corralled all eight of his targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-23 loss to the Bengals.
What it means:
Godwin was able to convert all of his targets into receptions for the third time this year, boosting his season catch rate to a solid 70 percent in the process. It was just the 26-year-old's third touchdown of 2022, as the Bucs have struggled as a unit in the red zone. Godwin will look to build off of this strong performance with a plus matchup looming against the Cardinals on Sunday.
Godwin caught five of nine targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 35-7 loss to the 49ers.
What it means:
On a rough day for the Tampa Bay offense, Godwin led the team in receiving yards, although most of it came on a 32-yard grab late in the second quarter. It's his fourth straight game with at least 50 yards, eighth straight with at least eight targets and 10th straight with at least five catches, giving him a reliable floor heading into a Week 15 clash with the Bengals.
