Contest Structure
Welcome to The Baseball Classic presented by T-Mobile Tuesdays (“Promotion”). The Promotion will consist of four (4) co-branded Baseball Free Play contests (“Free Plays”) to be held on August 8th, 2018 (the “First Free Play”), August 15th, 2018 (the “Second Free Play”), August 22nd, 2018 (the “Third Free Play”), and August 29th, 2018 (the “Fourth Free Play”).
Welcome to The Baseball Classic presented by T-Mobile Tuesdays (“Promotion”). The Promotion will consist of four (4) co-branded Baseball Free Play contests (“Free Plays”) to be held on August 8th, 2018 (the “First Free Play”), August 15th, 2018 (the “Second Free Play”), August 22nd, 2018 (the “Third Free Play”), and August 29th, 2018 (the “Fourth Free Play”).
The four (4) Free Plays are single entry fantasy baseball contests. Any instance of registering multiple accounts on FanDuel in order to gain additional entries into any contest will result in automatic disqualification from the Promotion, revocation of any prize awarded in the Promotion and potential suspension from FanDuel.
The prizes for the Free Plays will be displayed as follows:

Teams and Scoring
The Free Plays will be operated pursuant to FanDuel’s standard Rules and Scoring for fantasy baseball contests (available here:https://www.fanduel.com/rules). The participants who accumulate the most points based on their selection of players will win prizes in accordance with the table above.
In the event of a tie for a cash prize, the tied users will split the total value of the prizes awarded for the tied positions.
Eligibility
In order to participate you must meet the following qualifications:
- All US and Canadian residents who[PM1] comply with our eligibility rules for entry to free games in our https://www.fanduel.com/terms are eligible to participate in the Free Plays.
- You must comply with the entirety of FanDuel’s Terms of Use
- You must be an existing FanDuel user[PM2]
- You will abide at all times by FanDuel’s Terms of Use and any other agreements between you and FanDuel regarding your use of FanDuel or participation of games therein; and
- You are not subject to backup withholding tax because: (a) you are exempt from backup[PM3] withholding, or (b) you have not been notified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that you are subject to backup withholding as a result of a failure to report all interest or dividends, or (c) the IRS has notified you that you are no longer subject to backup withholding.
Employees, officers, and directors of FanDuel and T-Mobile are not eligible to win any prizes as part of this Promotion. Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Any participant in violation of FanDuel’s Terms of Use[PM4 ] may be disqualified by FanDuel at its sole discretion.
Our contests are available to users in both the US and Canada.
As of when you enter. You can't functionally enter anyway without an account, so it's just a belt and suspender line here.
We include this because FD does not withhold. The $600+ requirement is mentioned below and also exists in our ToU.
They live on our site and are accessible from any page on FD (including any pages accessed to participate in this contest). They are also linked to multiple times in these rules.
Indemnity
You agree to release and to indemnify, defend and hold harmless FanDuel, T-Mobile, and their entities and parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies, as well as the officers, directors, employees, shareholders and representatives of any of the foregoing entities, from and against any and all losses, liabilities, expenses, damages, costs (including attorneys’ fees and court costs) claims or actions of any kind whatsoever arising or resulting from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms of Use, your receipt, ownership, use or misuse of any prize, and any of your acts or omissions that implicate publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. FanDuel reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you and, in such case, you agree to cooperate with FanDuel in the defense of such matter.
Additional Terms and Conditions
FanDuel may request US resident prize winners to provide address and social security details prior to receiving their prize if their prize exceeds $600 in value. Winners are responsible for paying all taxes, fees, registration and insurance, for any prizes won in connection with this contest, including any non-cash prizes.
The decisions made by FanDuel management regarding, but not limited to, eligibility, winners, scoring, rules, prizes and compliance is in accordance with FanDuel’s Terms of Use. No correspondence will be entered into. FanDuel reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these terms, (a) to ensure the fairness of competition, and (b) in response to unanticipated developments (including, but not limited to, technical failures, errors, acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, changes in applicable law, failure of stats provider and failure to obtain a minimum number of entrants).
Affidavit of Eligibility
FanDuel may require prize winners to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility to confirm their identity and eligibility for the Promotion.
In consideration for the opportunity to participate in The Baseball Classic, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I agree as follows:
- I represent that I am over 18 years of age. I agree hereby to provide government-issued photo identification to FanDuel to verify my identity and date of birth.
- I represent that I am not an employee or operator of another daily fantasy site that charges entrance fees or offers cash prizes. Further, I represent that I do not, by virtue of affiliation with another daily fantasy site, have access to the site’s pre-release non-public confidential data about contest-related information
- I reaffirm my agreement to:
- I agree to refrain from any behavior or communication during The Baseball Classic promotion that would harm the image or reputation of FanDuel, T-Mobile, or the FanDuel user community.
Sponsor. This Contest is sponsored by FanDuel, Inc. (the “Sponsor” or “FanDuel”), who may be contacted by email at support@fanduel.com, or by mail at 300 Park Avenue South, New York, New York 10010.
Contest Period and Description of Contest. The Contest Series shall commence on August 7, 2018 (“Start Date”) and conclude on August 29, 2018 (“End Date”). The period from the Start Date to the End Date shall be known as the “Contest Period.”
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. THESE RULES GOVERN ALL ASPECTS OF PARTICIPATION AND PRIZE AWARD.
