The winner will be crowned FanDuel Fantasy Football Grand Champion and take home $25,000. Every week starting September 6th we're running a one-week fantasy football league to find our 10 finalists. More than $10,000 in runner up prizes.
Welcome to the FanDuel Fantasy Football Championship. Here are the detailed rules for the tournament.
The Fanduel Fantasy Football Championship is a weekly draft fantasy football tournament with two rounds. There will be ten separate first rounds running weekly from week 1 through week 10 of the NFL season. Each week players may enter the competition by drafting teams under the salary cap. Each week the entrant whose team scores the most fantasy points will secure a place in the final.
The final will take place in Las Vegas on Sunday, December 5th. There will be 10 finalists, one from each of the weeks 1 through 10. Finalists will receive a paid trip to Las Vegas to play in the final. The prize includes flights, transfer, two nights in a hotel, Saturday night dinner and party, entry into the final (including free food and drink) and $500 in spending money.
It costs $10 to enter the tournament. Players may enter as many times as they wish each week and in subsequent weeks.
The top prizes are:
Prizes will be paid by check within 7 days of the final.
Each week there will be runner up prizes as follows:
2nd $500, 3rd $250, 4th $150, 5th $100, 6th $90, 7th $80, 8th $70, 9th $60, 10th $50
Runner up prizes will be paid directly into the player's FanDuel account.
Each week entrants may draft any player playing in Sunday and Monday games only. In the final, finalists may only draft players from the early Sunday games (that is all games apart from Pittsburgh @ Baltimore).
A team must compose of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 DEF and 1 K while remaining
under the salary cap.
Fantasy points will be scored as follows:
In addition to drafting a team, each week and in the final users have to predict the number of rushing yards of a named player. This will be used in the event of a tie. The winner of the tie breaker will be the one that guesses to the closest number of yards. Should this not break the tie then the user who entered their team first will win the tie break. If the tie-break player does not play then the tie breaker is void and the user who entered their team first will win.
All US and Canadian residents who comply with our eligibility rules for paid entry games in our terms of service are eligible to play. Note, residents of Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana and Vermont are not eligible to enter this competition. FanDuel employees may enter the competition for testing purposes but are not eligible to win any prizes.
All US resident finalists will be required to provide address and social security details. These details will be used to file a 1099-MISC with the Internal Revenue Service.
Finalists agree that their names and pictures may be used for marketing purposes.
The finalists will be staying on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th at a hotel in Las Vegas (to be named once confirmed). If the winner cannot make the trip they may nominate one other to go in their place or they can play from home. However, the cost of the trip cannot be redeemed in cash. Additionally, the winner may elect to bring a friend or partner to the event and we will endeavour to accommodate them however they will be responsible for their own travel and incidental costs.
The FanDuel team will work with the finalists to arrange convenient flights and transfer.
The decisions made by FanDuel management regarding, but not limited to, eligibility, winners, scoring, rules and prizes are considered final. No correspondence will be entered into. FanDuel reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these terms, (a) to ensure the fairness of competition, and (b) in response to unanticipated developments (such as technical failures, errors, acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, changes in applicable law, interruption in the NFL season, failure of stats provider, failure of hotel provider, and failure to obtain a minimum number of entrants).
FanDuel is a fantasy sports game which lets you draft a fantasy team any time you
want and win real money on it. It offers both salary cap and autopick games. When
the game starts, you can watch the scoring live to see who is winning. We currently
have - daily MLB games, NBA games, NHL games, weekly NFL games and the
Fanduel Fantasy Football Championship.
Yes, Fantasy Sports is considered a game of skill and received a specific exemption
from the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. FanDuel uses exactly
the same rules as any other season long fantasy sports game, the only difference is
that our games last only a day. Thanks to fantasy sports being specifically excluded
from laws affecting online sports betting, FanDuel is not illegal in any way. Trust
us, our lawyers drive very nice cars so that we can keep it that way. We're also
members of the The Fantasy Sports Trade Association. Click here for a more
detailed answer to this question.

Well for a start you must be 18 years of age or over and a resident in the USA or Canada. Also
if you are a resident of Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana or Vermont
then you cannot play FanDuel for real money (sorry, go picket your state Senate).
For more information, please read our terms of use.
The scores are calculated using the regular fantasy league points. For the FanDuel
Fantasy Football Championship the following scoring will be used:
If the game is postponed but happens within one day of the scheduled time then you
will receive points for your players in those games as normal. If a game is postponed
to a later date or called off for any reason, any players you have selected for that
game will receive zero points. Be sure to check out the schedules (NFL schedule)
before you pick players.
If a game is abandoned then any points scored by players prior to abandonment
will be credited to that player unless the rescheduled fixture is within one day of the
original scheduled time.
During the game we receive live scoring from our stats provider, Stats Inc. After the
game has ended they pass us a final box score for the game. After we receive and
confirm the box scores for all the day's games we then settle all entries. However,
very rarely, the leagues and stats provider revise the box scores after the final box
score has been released. In the event of this occurring the player scores on Fanduel
will not be updated and the settlements will not be revised.
It costs $10 to enter the tournament.
Players may enter as many times as they wish each week and in subsequent weeks.
You can change your team at any point up until the start of the game.
In addition to drafting a team, each week and in the final users have to predict the
number of rushing yards of a named player. This will be used in the event of tie. The
winner of the tie breaker will be the one that guesses to the closest number of yards.
Should this not break the tie then the player who entered their team first will win the
tie break.
