how about having an al and nl league instead of the entire mlb

We've gotten other suggestions for that as well as a variety of other options such as lower salary caps, alternate roster configurations, funky scoring options, etc. I think the general answer for all of these is that for now we want to keep a uniform format, but that as traffic on the site continues to grow, we'll look at other options. I wouldn't expect anything to be added in this regard for the 2010 season, but maybe for next season. Personally, I'd like to see players have the ability to create various types of 'custom' contests, including the type you described, but we'll have to see whether that's practical to add eventually.

In the short term, there are some regulars on the site who have been playing various 'gimmick' formats, including single league contests They simply agree in chat on what the rules are, and trust each other not to cheat. Mostly I think that's going on during the afternoon on the East Coast. Two of the guys who do that a lot are fantasy_nut25 and louiescards. I'm sure they'd be happy to arrange something with you.

just a thought,, but it would be nice to have a (wish list) box to add players that your interested in useing, or even a memo box for each user. im fine with the way things are but it would help put FD a leg up on the others
