it's luck. you pick players instead of a spread. you have no control. you don't even choose your opponent. how is this legal?

seems like you should be able to pick your opponent, regardless of false pretense for instance user chooses name nbanoob and pretends he's going to start an injured guy or guys that used to be good iverson, shaq. then switches before tip off. at least you picked the opponent, instead of algorythym that has no transparency

The laws that impact sports betting carve out fantasy sports as a specific exception. There are some requirements to avoid running afoul of those laws - all contests need to be based on at least 2 sporting events (ie no Super Bowl only contest) and all participants need to have players from at least 2 games on their teams.

tony, it IS gambling. So is the Powerball Lottery. Both are legal. Respect that it is gambling and treat it as such. Manage your money well and only gamble with what you can afford to lose.

Rebelrik - Totally legal. And according to U.S. law, it is NOT gambling, it's fantasy sports, which has been defined specifically as being different from gambling. Obviously they have a lot in common though. :)
